21st December 2009 - Chun Ma Christmas Raffle
We'd like to say thank you to everyone who sold and bought raffle tickets for our Christmas Raffle. We have raised £470 for our club funds which helps us pay for our students to travel to international Taekwondo events. The results of the ticket draw are below which took place today.

9th December 2009 - Christmas Holidays
Please note that due to the Christmas break, there will be no Taekwondo training on the following days:
- Thursday 24th December
- Monday 28th December
- Wednesday 30th December
- Thursday 31st December
The last training session of the year therefore will be on Wednesday 23rd December and training will resume as normal from Monday 4th January 2010.
The last fight training session will be on Sunday 13th December 2009. These sessions will resume as normal from Sunday 3rd January 2010.
28th November 2009 - Kyo Hoon Inter-club Competition
The Kyo Hoon Inter-club competition will be taking place at the Bellhouse Road Working Men’s club, Sheffield on Saturday 28th November 2009.

11th October 2009 - English Taekwondo Federation Sparring Competition
Master Lee Heyes has invited us to attend his sparring competition that is being hosted at Blackpool on Sonday 11th October starting at 10:00am. This is a good chance for some of our students to spar with different people. Any officials who can help out are also welcome.

27th September 2009 - Dan Grading at Sheffield
Congratulations to Caroline who passed her 2nd Dan grading at Sheffield today. Here she is with Master David Sutherill:
27th September 2009 - Technical Seminar & Dan Grading
Master David Sutherill is hosting a Technical Seminar on Sunday 27th September from 10:00am to 12:00pm. Senior grades and those taking their Dan grading later in the day need to attend.
The Dan grading for those eligible will be taking place at the same venue from 1:00pm to 3:00pm.
Both events will be at the Sheffield Mudo Academy, West Don Street, Sheffield, S6 3BH. Below is a map of where the Academy is:

20th September 2009 - Chun Ma Inter-club Competition
The Chun Ma Inter-club competition will be taking place at the Armthorpe Community Centre on Sunday 20th September 2009.
The competition will start at 10:00am sharp so competitors need to be arriving for 9:30am. The doors open at 9:00am.

19th July 2009 - Mudo Sparring Seminars
There will be a Seminar regarding the rule changes for Mudo Academy sparring events. Anyone fighting or corner judging will need to attend to make sure that they understand the new rules. The cost for this seminar is £5. The corner-judging/fighting seminar will run from 9:30am to 11:00pm. There will also be a refereeing seminar from 12:00pm to 3:00pm. The seminars will be at the Sheffield Mudo Academy, West Don Street, Sheffield, S6 3BH. Below is a map of where the Academy is:

25th May 2009 - No Training at Bawtry
Please note that as Monday 25th May is a public holiday, there will be no training at the New Hall in Bawtry on that evening. Training will return to normal from Wednesday 27th May.
24th May 2009 - No Fight Training at Rossington
Please note that as it is a bank holiday weekend, there will be no fight training at the Memorial Hall in Rossington. Fight training will return to normal from Sunday 31st May.
9th - 10th May 2009 - Korean Art Seminar
For those interested, there will be a Korean Art Seminar at Épinay-sur-Orge just south of Paris on 9th - 10th May. Master David Sutherill will be conducting seminars on both days.
Events included are: sparring techniques, Mudo, meditation, tea ceremony, calligraphy and more.

4th May 2009 - No Training at Bawtry
Please note that as Monday 4th May is a public holiday, there will be no training at the New Hall in Bawtry on that evening. Training will return to normal from Wednesday 6th May.
19th April 2009 - Dan Grading at Sheffield
Congratulations to Anthony, Angela, Ben and Jamie who passed their 1st Dan grading at Sheffield today. Here they are with Master David Sutherill:

18th - 19th April 2009 - Pattern Seminar & Dan Grading
There will be a Pattern seminar for all students on Saturday 18th April (Pal Jung Do) from 9:00am to 1:00pm. A certificate for completing this seminar will be issued which is required for future Dan gradings in the year.
The seminar will be at Main Hall, Goodwin Sports Centre, Northumberland Road, Sheffield, S10 2TY. Below is a map showing where the Seminar is which you can use to plan a route:

8th March 2009 - Sponsored Walk
On Sunday 8th March, we did a 10 mile sponsored walk to raise money for the club funds. The money raised goes towards funding our students in competitions. The first 2/3 of the walk was in nice sunny weather even though it was cool and during the last third it rained but that didn't dampen our spirits.
Here we all are after completing the walk:
21st February 2009 - And They're Off.....
Saturday 21st February is Race Night, make sure you join us at Armthorpe Community Centre.
Children are welcome - it's a family night and it will be lots of fun. Tickets are only £3 and include food but places are limited and going fast.
All money raised is for club funds (which pays for our students to go to Portugal etc) so see Mick for your tickets today.
Bring plenty of money to bet on the races. You never know, you might even win!
25th January 2009 - Red & Black Belt Seminar
There will be a Taekwondo history and etiquette seminar on the 25th January to be held at the Auckley Parish Centre from 2:30pm - 4:30pm. All red and black belt grades (the older ones in particular) are expected to attend as you need you know this information. You will not need to wear your training uniform but bring a pen and paper to make notes.
Mudo Uniforms
Mudo uniforms are now available at a cost of £35. These will be needed for Dan grading and National seminars so when purchasing a new uniform keep this in mind.
Membership
It now takes at least two weeks to process a membership application so you need to renew earlier. Please check your licence to ensure it hasn’t expired. It is a student’s responsibility to renew their licence before it expires. Don’t forget - no licence, no training.
